Frequently Asked Questions

OSHA requires medical surveillance for employees exposed to specific workplace hazards such as chemicals, dust, noise, and respirator use. OccMed Miami provides compliant evaluations tailored to your industry.

Most services at OccMed Miami are completed the same day, helping businesses stay compliant without delays.

A respirator fit test is meant to see if a tight-fitting respirator can be worn by the employee without any leaks. The test will take place once you (Employee) have been medically cleared to wear a respirator and before you start your job, and you must complete the test using a respirator that’s the same make, model, and size as one you will wear on the job while also wearing any other required equipment.

While not always required by OSHA, drug testing is often mandated for DOT-regulated roles and is strongly recommended to maintain workplace safety and reduce liability.

The 5 Panel drug test will analyze your urine for the following drugs/substances:

  • Marijuana (THC metabolite)
  • Amphetamines
  • Cocaine
  • Opiates (including heroin)
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)

* Please keep in mind that your employer can request for more substances to be analyzed.

Also known as “return-to-work exams”, are used by Employers to make sure an Employee can safely return to work and perform their job. Most commonly used when an Employee has been out of work due to an injury and has completed their treatment and is ready to return to work.

Construction, healthcare, hospitality, and staffing agencies commonly require OSHA-related medical services.
